He was one of the distinct and accomplished voices in hip-hop. GURU of Gang Starr was a hip-hop original and an American O.G. He died Monday after a year-long battle with cancer, according to several media sources. You can read the New York Daily News story here.
DJ Kazzeo of 90.9 FM KHDC will host a tribute show Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. He will play music as well as the last interview GURU did on KHDC in July, 2008.
RIP GURU.
